ETIA Academy is an online academy/school that provides live instructional sessions in Maths, English and Science, aimed at enhancing learners' capabilities and offering personalised support for students of varying ages. We are committed to delivering high-quality education that is accessible to individuals worldwide.
We are very proud to be an AQA approved centre. The AQA Unit Award Scheme encompasses many topics from the core subjects (Maths, English and Science) to life skills, technology, business, and the arts, ensuring a wide range of options for learners.
Currently, the United Kingdom does not have an official accreditation system for online educational institutions. Nevertheless, we take pride in the fact that all of our teachers possess educational qualifications that are recognised and accepted by the UK education authorities. This assures that our academy/school is both well-qualified and capable of delivering a high standard of instruction, thereby providing an effective and engaging learning experience for our students in an online setting.
ETIA Academy are proud to be an AQA approved centre. The AQA Unit Award Scheme (UAS) is a program that enables learners to achieve recognition for their individual learning accomplishments. Under this scheme, students can engage with various units of learning tailored to their specific needs and abilities.
The primary goals of the AQA (UAS) include boosting learners' confidence, increasing engagement in their studies, and improving motivation, which ultimately helps them make progress in their lifelong learning journey. The scheme is particularly beneficial for learners with diverse needs, providing them with a flexible and inclusive way to celebrate their achievements.
The Unit Award Scheme (UAS) empowers all students to engage in meaningful learning and have their achievements celebrated. Each time a learner successfully completes a unit, they earn a certificate, building a portfolio that reflects their skills, knowledge, and experience.
Certainly. Upon successful completion of a AQA course, students will receive a certificate of completion. This certificate serves as a valuable credential that can be incorporated into one’s resume or LinkedIn profile, thereby showcasing educational achievements. Certain programs also offer accredited certificates, enhancing qualifications in the competitive job market.
ETIA Academy is a online school for children aged between 5-11 years. Our lessons are specifically tailored to be age-appropriate and engaging for all individuals.
During the enrolment process, it is important that you provide a detailed view of your child’s strengths, weaknesses, hobbies and difficulties. This overview enables us to support your child. In addition, we will monitor the child during classes and support them accordingly. We will also get to know your child better during the live lessons which enables us to continually adapt and adjust the level of support required.
Please read our additional FAQs below for more information.
We follow The British National Curriculum for all of the core subjects, Maths, English and Science.
We also teach the AQA Unot Award Scheme (UAS) which we believe are important skills that broaden student life skills, knowledge and understanding.

In short, no. We believe that exams are not essential for children. We prefer to monitor a child's progress through interactions, comprehension during lessons, and homework. This approach helps reduce stress and pressure, providing a more accurate representation of the child's development. We track this progress and provide a report at the end of each term.
The homework is meant to be interesting and to match what we learn in our live lessons. It should take no more than 15 minutes and should not feel overwhelming. If your child does not want to finish all of the homework or refuses to do it, please don’t worry. They will not lose points or be at a disadvantage.
We believe that letting children work at their own pace will help them build their ability to complete more work over time.
Please upload any homework your child completes. This helps us adjust future assignments to better support their pace.
If your child wants more homework, just let us know. We will do our best to help.
We follow the UK Term times, and the children will have a break in the middle of the term and at the end of each term. Please see our academic schedule for confirmation.
We offer a fixed lesson schedule which helps children to maintain a routine, please feel free to view and download the class timetables. Lessons are held Monday – Friday between 9.30am – 2.15pm.
However, as all lessons are recorded, should a student miss a lesson they can catch up at their convenience because all lessons are recorded and made available to students who did not attend.

Upon enrolment at ETIA Academy, each student is provided with a personalised educational plan. This plan includes goal setting and an initial assessment, followed by regular evaluations to ensure that the student remains on track to achieve their objectives. Parents are encouraged to offer guidance and additional information throughout the child’s academic journey so that we can continue to ensure the child's needs are met.
All of our educators are trained in Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) and have experience in teaching students with diverse needs, including anxiety, depression, dyslexia, dyspraxia, ADHD, and autism spectrum disorder.
Our teaching approach emphasises creating a calm and supportive environment that fosters learning. We utilise regular breaks to help students maintain focus and prevent them becoming overwhelmed.
We acknowledge that children do not like to sit still - and so they are welcome to move around, make noise, Self-stimulate and do whatever else helps them to focus. We do not tell children off, or stop them from doing these kind of actions.
Additionally, our timetable is structured to provide students with breaks in between classes which enhances engagement and participation. We organise classes based on students' abilities rather than their ages, which means the lessons meet individual learning needs. This tailored approach ensures that all students receive the necessary support and challenges for their academic and personal growth.
Our support team is readily available to assist. Individuals may reach out via the student’s portal, use the contact form on our website or directly through email, and we will respond promptly to address any inquiries.
Certainly. We administer regular quizzes, polls, and reviews during the lessons along with distributing homework. From this, we provide feedback to assist students in monitoring their progress and ensuring the achievement of their educational goals.

Yes. Through the child’s learning platform you can message the teacher any time.
Students will interact with the teacher during the live lessons in a variety of way including through messages, live conversation, answering polls, quizzes and group conversations.
However, if the matter is urgent, please send an email to info@etiaacademy.co.uk with the subject URGENT, and we will reply promptly.
We are proud to offer small classes, generally between 5-12 students.
Students will have their own log-in to our online learning platform and the lessons are delivered in real-time, allowing students to engage with the teachers interactively, pose questions, answers questions, polls and quizzes and participate in meaningful discussions.
Students/parents can set their preferences if they want to use the microphone and camera during the lessons; these are not compulsory. In addition, the teacher may choose to activate/deactivate students cameras and microphones during the lessons.
During the lesson, around half way through, the teacher will create a 'break-out' room, where the students get the opportunity to interact with one another whilst monitored by the teacher. This gives the students a break from the learning, they can run to the toilet, jump around and have fun with the students before regrouping and continuing with the lesson. We find this to be very helpful as it clears the students' minds, enables them to have an opportunity to interact and socialise with their peers whilst giving them chance to have a few minutes away from the computer if they wish.
Lessons usually begin with a fun interactive warmer activity which is designed to encourage the children to participate, give them an overview of the lesson ahead and encourage them to participate. Next, the teacher will present the core learning and the students will have opportunity to interact and answer questions during the guided practice.
After this, the teacher will open a break-out session where the students go into another online class. The students can interact with each other and take a break from the learning. This gives them chance to have a quick snack, go to the toilet, move around and whatever else they need to do! The teacher will be overseeing the breakout room and will have planned a topic to guide the social interactions between the students.
When the students return to the main classroom, they will continue to build on the prior learning through reinforcement techniques and further practice. The teacher will finish the lesson with a recap of the lesson and advise the students of any homework for them to complete.
Absolutely not. Students can interact with the teacher and their classmates in a variety of ways including microphone, camera, private messages and voting in polls. We do not force children to participate, and they are able to do as much or as little as they wish. We feel this is the best approach to supporting the child with their learning. Students will be encouraged to participate but we will not make a student feel pressured or uncomfortable if they don’t want to.
There is no pressure to complete the homework. We are a nurturing school, and want the student to feel comfortable. We do not want a child to be unhappy, as this is going to make them disengage from learning. However, it is helpful to still upload any amount of homework your child does complete because this helps us to continually align the content to each child.
Our teachers are qualified educators who are dedicated to delivering high-quality instruction and support. They possess training in effectively engaging students in an online educational context, along with various qualifications and fundamental knowledge to support children with Special Educational Needs including Autism and ADHD.
