Safeguarding & Child Data Protection
Important: ETIA Academy provides online educational programmes and learning resources for primary-aged children. We are not a registered school.
We are committed to creating a safe, respectful, and supportive learning experience. We aim to minimise the personal data we collect about children and ensure any data we do process is handled lawfully, securely, and transparently.
We only collect and use child-related information where it is necessary to deliver learning support, and we keep it to the minimum required.

ETIA Academy provides online educational programmes and learning resources for primary-aged children.
We are not a registered school, but we recognise our responsibility to:
- Act in the best interests of children
- Promote safe, respectful learning experiences
- Work in partnership with parents and carers
Safeguarding considerations are embedded into how our services are designed and delivered.
Online Learning & Appropriate Use
To help maintain a safe learning environment:
- Learning activities are age-appropriate
- Content is designed to be inclusive, calm and supportive
- Communication is conducted with parents or guardians
- Children are expected to engage with learning under appropriate adult supervision
We do not provide open chat spaces or unmoderated communication between children.
Child Data Protection
ETIA Academy follows the principles of the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR) and EU GDPR when handling data relating to children.
We are committed to:
- Collecting only the minimum data necessary
- Using child data solely to support learning
- Storing data securely using reputable service providers
- Never selling or misusing children’s personal data
Examples of child data we may process include:
- Year group or age range
Learning preferences where relevant
Working With Parents & Carers
Parents or legal guardians remain responsible for overseeing their child’s learning and online activity.
We encourage open communication and welcome questions or concerns from families at any time.
